I recently got back from a quick trip to Sedona, Arizona and it is ‘special’.
Here is some interesting information on Sedona’s Vortexes…and … You know, I believe that vortexes are everywhere….
Where Can You Find Them
BELL ROCK
Bell Rock is on Hwy 179, just north of the Village of Oak Creek (5 miles south of the junction of Hwy 89A and 179). Its distinct shape makes it easy to spot, and parking and trails are clearly visible. You don’t have to do any climbing to feel the energy at this vortex.

How to get there: Drive 3.2 miles west on 89A and turn right on Dry Creek Rd. Follow the signs for Boynton Canyon. From the parking area, enter Boynton Canyon Trail. Go few hundred yards, then take the left fork to stay on Boynton Canyon Trail. Go another few hundred yards to the “Vista Trail” sign. Take RIGHT and follow the Vista Trail up the hill.

MASCULINE VORTEX
Airport Vortex
Chapel of the Holy Cross Vortex – one of the strongest and most easily felt vortexes in all of Sedona. The feeling within the walls of the chapel is one of inspiration and joy. The energy of this vortex site also includes love, harmony, unity and oneness with all that is.
Schnebly Hill Vortex – the rough terrain leading up to the top of this vortex takes you to one of the highest plateaus in Sedona for amazing views of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. This vortex energy is cleansing and purifying.
Signs of Vortex Activity?
People say effects of the vortexes range from subtle (a feeling of peace or delight) to tangible (a rush of new ideas or visions, a tingling sensation in your body) to extremely powerful (your hair stands on end).
That you can feel and even see, at the right time and place, this energy at work.
As to the basis of vortex activity in Sedona, there seem to be several power spots, each individual in what it ‘does’ for a person.
VORTEX places are said to enhance and amplify the energies you hold within you…and bringing about changes, sometimes very dramatic, in your life.. This can be too intense for many people, and some people shut themselves off from it entirely. Denial can be easier than dealing with past issues of resentment, anger, etc.
I Want Proof!
Actual evidence for the existence of the vortexes—apart from all the footprints and cairns left by tourists—is sketchy at best. The twisted juniper trees, which are indeed quite unusual, are the only physical indication of invisible forces, and only a very few of the trees have this feature. You’ll see a twisted tree right next to a perfectly ordinary one.
After doing some research, I have discovered that many ‘explanations’ exist for this strange tree phenomenon…
While there, you will feel different. I believe, as it is unique. The tourist commercialism has wiped away some of it’s lustre, but it is still a powerful place. Once(And still sacred) a Ceremonial place for the Native Americans, it holds ancient stories, yet to be told…and secret mysteries that we may never fully understand.
Sedona is a tourist spot, it prides its self on its NEW AGE mentality. People are friendly. It’s expensive…and I will say again..I believe there are vortexes everywhere….
